March 28th, 2009BYOB was such a fun experience. i got really exhausted in the end for standing 7 hours straight. the event was sponsored by Red Bull; therefore they were giving out red bulls for free for the artists. so I drank 1 can and sneakily shoved 5 in my bag and 2 for my friend. i love Red Bull, especially the sugar free kind *wink* but they don’t give those out for free. bummer.

10 artists. 7 hours. 1 winner
March 8th, 2009
Bring Your Own Brush is short for BYOB and it is a live painting event that provides Emily Carr University of Art and Design artists a chance to create and display their work, all within a 7 hour time frame. 10 artists were selected to participate. In an effort to showcase the range of talent at ECUAD, selection was made based on previous work, availability, and grade level.
BYOB will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Backstage Lounge at 1585 Johnston Street on Granville Island. Artists begin painting at 2pm, during which the Lounge is open to the general public.
Each artist will be provided a canvas, paint and 7hrs to complete their work
